National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association NIRA

College rodeo runs on the NIRA, which organises member schools into regions that each compete through their own season. Points won at regional rodeos qualify contestants for the College National Finals Rodeo in June. Universities host the rodeos, so the calendar follows the academic year and not the professional one.
