California rodeos run nearly year-round thanks to the climate, concentrated in the central valley and coastal hills. The California Rodeo Salinas in July is the state's marquee event — "the big one" by reputation — with PRCA stops in Red Bluff, Clovis, and beyond. The WPRA barrel circuit and weekly jackpot scene from Tehachapi to Norco are very active.
